Elizabeth - Frankenstein

On an evening in January, after a long day with a new baby in my arms, I somehow had enough energy to watch a movie and decided to put on Del Toro's Frankenstein. Two hours later, I was left with my jaw on the floor, feeling completely inspired. His films always hit a sweet spot for me. The cinematography, the symbolism, the costumes. From Crimson Peak to Frankenstein, I'm so drawn to the gothic beauty of how ethereal and surreal his sets and costumes feel. The amount of thought that goes into crafting Elizabeth's wardrobe to reflect her personality is mind-blowing. Needless to say, her outfits were breathtaking, and I had to try my hand at translating one into the stylized paper craft look I've been obsessed with creating in 3D.
